HealthTech FAQ

Is Aegis HIPAA-compliant?

A UI kit by itself cannot be HIPAA-compliant — compliance depends on the whole system (hosting, auth, data handling, access controls). Aegis is HIPAA-aware: components are designed so you can build compliant products on top, with the right affordances for PHI display, consent, and secure messaging. We can help you architect the full compliant stack as an engagement.

Do you work with existing EHR integrations?

Yes. Most HealthTech products we ship are integrating with one or more EHRs (Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) via FHIR, HL7, or vendor APIs. The UI patterns in Aegis are designed to make integration-specific screens (e.g. patient match, duplicate records, missing data) feel intentional, not like afterthoughts.

Accessibility — what's the baseline?

Every Aegis component targets WCAG 2.1 AA by default: keyboard operable, focus-visible, ARIA roles, sufficient contrast. Clinical surfaces raise the bar on colour-only signals (we use shape + text + colour), which matters for accessibility and for clinicians reading under time pressure.

Can you build a full telehealth product from scratch?

Yes — that's exactly the scope of an End-to-End Product Development engagement. We've shipped telehealth surfaces with Aegis as the foundation, Supabase or custom backend, integrated video (Daily, Twilio, Zoom SDK), and launched in 8–12 weeks.
